MEETING MINUTES |
Called to order No public comments Benton Souers gave a brief overview of fastbridge believes it is positive overall. Fall literacy data shows 21% in the exceeding column and only 19% is in the high risk so that overall is good 37% low risk and 22% in the some risk. In math there was a lower percentage of students tested but 17% in exceeding and 41% in low risk, some risk was at 26% and 16% in high risk. Next year there will be a new curriculum used for the whole district. School improvement plan consisted of two goals, one based in MTSS and the other in affinity groups. |
Caring school communities is going on second year and this year the older students will pair with the younger students in a buddy program. The regulation room is up and running and going strong. Stronger Oregon is going strong and we have even added a second therapist that comes into the school on a weekly basis. |
Glory suggested that next meeting he will present us with the Sunnyside report card that the state of Oregon gave to us. |

MEETING MINUTES |
Meeting called to order by Glory Okeke at 2:19 No public comments Previous minutes were read by Bridget Edge and Benton Souers moved to approve the minutes, Glory Okeke seconded this and the minutes were approved as read. FastBridge data showed a little trend in the wrong direction but it was noted that there was not a lot of time between winter break and the unscheduled snowstorm that caused a lack of consistency and new information. Benton is not as concerned and looks forward to the next set of data. Winter literacy data shows that Sunnyside is outperforming the district in both the low risk and the high risk category for all grades. Winter FastBridge data trended in the positive direction and we are also outperforming the district in these areas. Overall the data looks good and we are all looking forward to the spring data. New business includes that there will be a new math curriculum called Imagine Learning Illustrative (k-5). Glory presented the Oregon Department of Education information that he agreed to bring at the last meeting. It is a public document that can be looked at by anyone. |
Bridget recommended that we review some of the YouthTruth survey information. Suggesting that seeing the information on how students feel about safety and belonging would be interesting compared to the parents and teachers. |
